„Zur nächsten "Stadt" mit Einkaufsmöglichkeit fährt man eine Weile (ca. 1 Stunde).
Kinder müssen sich mit der Natur zufrieden geben. Leider fehlt auch eine größere flache Ebene zum Ballspielen etc., da das Haus am Hang liegt.
Es gibt nur ein paar kleinere Stellen um ans Wasser zu gelangen, die auch etwas weiter entfernt sind (wenig Bademöglichkeiten).“

„It was not a child friendly house, we did not see anything for people with small children. The stairs leading up are very dangerous for small children. It was possible to make a walk from the house, but the track was not very clear. The shop was 3 kilometres away in a very small town. We went to Rozendal to the supermarket, but there was no possibility to shop around. We went to Matre and followed the road to Rozendal. On the highest point of the road there was a small mountain road and we followed it with our Peugeot 407 (a very low car). At the end of the road the road was very steep (20%) and we arrived at a dam and could clearly see the glacier which was very beautiful. Warning: if you expect to arrive by ferry check the departure time: we had to wait 3 hours and decided to go via Odda, which took 2 hours extra travelling time. The house was too expensive if you take into consideration the washing machine did not work properly and it was dirty.“

„Über den Ort gibt es nicht viel zu sagen, eine Schule, eine Kirche und ein kleiner Laden direkt am Hafen. Wer sich für das norwegische Nachtleben interessiert, wäre in Bergen, Stavanger oder Oslo, sicher besser aufgehoben. Ein beschaulicher Ort mit sehr netten Menschen.“
