    “This was our third trip to Gran Canaria - we'd previously stayed in Agaete, Meloneras and El Injenio. We came across Arguineguin in 2018 when it was extremely windy at other resorts including Meloneras just down the road - in fact we are continuously surprised at just how different the weather can be over a very short distance.

    It is a great town, obviously mostly relying on foreign tourists, but with enough local, Spanish commercial activity to feel slightly more authentic than its neighbours. It has two good beaches - a town one with black sand, and a semi-artificial saltwater one with gold sand. The restaurants are good, shopping is excellent, and the bus transport fantastic.”
