Holiday Home, perfect for two couples/families

Casa al Castagno - This modern holiday home with 145 sqm living space and great lake view has a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious living/dining area on the ground floor. The terraces are partly covered and offer with two groups of seats, a small lawn, a 3-seater Jacuzzi and a pool (Community Residenza al Castagno) many possibilities for relaxation and entertainmentOn the upper floor there are 2 separate studios, each with a bedroom and double bed, bathroom en suite, balcony and a gallery with further single beds (single room with single bed or 2 single beds plus sofa bed). During your stay you will have exclusive use of the entire property. If you have any questions, a contact person will be available on site. The facilities of the holiday home correspond to a 4-star superior classification by the Swiss Tourism Association (STV). Since 2018 we are certified as family and biker friendly accommodation. For us, family-friendly accommodation also means that we do not charge for the overnight stay of children and young people up to the age of 17 if this exceeds the standard occupancy of 4 persons. The house has a garage with direct access and another parking space in front of the house. The keys are provided via a "Keysafe". You can plan your arrival and departure without depending on any specific time schedule. More details about the comfortable use of the property will be provided in writing after booking. Further information about the house and travel guides (hiking, recreation and culture, biking) are available in the house.For travelers with electric vehicles, an easee Home 11kW Wall Box, mounted in the garage, is available for charging the vehicle. So you stay (e-)mobile even on vacation. Only 5 minutes from Vira is Piazzogna, which still has a small town centre with gastronomy and retail. The entrances to the Gambarogno hiking trails can be reached directly from the house. Locarno and Ascona can be reached by car in 15 to 20 minutes. It is even easier to take the ferry from Magadino (only 5 minutes by car). Another attraction is the weekly market in Luino. Our registration no: NL-00000265

Location description: Gambarogno is made up of numerous small villages that joined together just a few years ago to form the municipality of Gamabarogno. The main towns are Vira and San Nazarro at sea level. On the mountain there are smaller villages like Vairano or Piazzogna. The area is rather quiet compared to the urban west bank with Locarno and Ascona. Recreation and hiking are in the focus of most visitors. For excursions to Luino, Bellinzona, Locarno and the numerous attractions of Ticino, Gambarogno is the ideal starting point and resort.

    “Liebe Gäste, zunächst herzlichen Dank für Ihre positive Bewertung die uns und anderen Interessenten hilft. Wir bemühen uns, Ihre Hinweise aufzugreifen und das Haus auch regelmässig zu verbessern.
    Da Sie die Sitzdusche ansprechen. Es ist ein Kompromiss. Wir gleichen damit das Fehlen einer entspannenden Badewanne nach einem langen Wandertag aus. Auch beim Ziel, ein Mehrgenerationen Urlaubsdomizil zu bieten, trägt die Sitzbadewanne bei. Da fast alle unsere Gäste mit Familienbezug, oft in drei Generationen, reisen, gehen wir davon aus, dass beide Bäder, damit auch das Bad mit konventioneller Dusche, meist gemeinsam genutzt werden. Ich hoffe, Sie sehen die Sitzdusche nun nicht mehr ganz so nachteilig, wobei der Nutzen natürlich immer subjektiv ist.
    Besonders freuen wir uns, dass Sie sich im Haus wohl gefühlt haben und einen schönen Urlaub mit Ihrer Familie verbringen konnten. Hoffentlich dürfen wir Sie irgendwann wieder begrüssen.

    “Tolle grosszügiges Haus,
    ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Deswegen aber nicht weniger attraktiv. Sehr gut ausgestattet,
    nette und unkomplizierte Vermietung. Gerne wieder - vielen Dank. Positiv: Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und der Vermieter ist sehr unkompliziert und grosszügig. Es war alles liebevoll hergerichtet und das nötigste Eingekauft für das Frühstück. Ein Verweilen im Garten auch bei Regen ist möglich, dank der gedeckten Terrasse und der wunderschönen Aussicht auf den See. Alles wunderbar und sauber.”
