The area around Artà is characterised by rolling green hills. The property, which is home to the enchanting Villa Son Frare, is nestled in the typical lush vegetation. This guarantees the privacy of the guests and offers a view over the hills. This small, completely restored quarry stone house with its cheerful mint green shutters is ready to welcome its guests. To the side of the house is the marvellous sun terrace with its own pool. Four sun loungers are available for relaxing, as well as two straw parasols if required. The pool terrace merges into the patio with a lovely outdoor seating area for four people complete with portable barbecue for a relaxed evening or afternoon barbecue. The natural fibre roof over this area provides airiness but also shade. You can enjoy your morning coffee at the white bistro table with petrol blue cushions, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the wonderful morning air exclusively.

Lots of floor to ceiling wooden mullioned windows allow easy access and plenty of light streaming into the interior of the villa from outside. True to the saying small but nice, this recently renovated villa offers its guests a modern interior ideal for families or groups of friends on a living space of 120 m². The entrance area has an open-plan hallway with access to the kitchen and dining room on the right and directly to the lounge. In the lounge you can sit on the modern and comfortable sofas in front of the fireplace and enjoy a cosy evening in front of the TV in cooler weather. The brightly painted concrete floors, white walls and natural wooden ceilings create a particularly pleasant, open and cosy atmosphere. The kitchen opens onto the living area. The oval dining table for six guests is decorated with a cheerful, bright tablecloth with yellow and orange apple motifs. A beautiful view of the rolling green hills through the patio door certainly adds to the enjoyment of this rural idyll. The kitchen offers every conceivable convenience you could need for your holiday, such as a dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, ceramic hob and much more. As the construction of a fitted kitchen was not planned, the storage space is located in built-in cupboards under the worktops, which are concealed by sun-yellow curtains. Additional storage space is provided by a very chic wall cabinet with aluminium lacquered frames and frosted glass panes. On the one hand, these furnishings are typical of an old farmhouse kitchen; on the other, they are very chic, purist and modern, which only emphasises the authentic charm of this cheerful rustic villa.

One of the two bedrooms is located on the ground floor with two single beds, ideal for 12 children or friends travelling together. There is also a bathroom on this floor. The terrace with awning not only leads to the living room, but also via a staircase to the upper floor, where there is another open-plan bedroom with a queen-size bed (1.60 m) and en suite bathroom. The clever layout of the two bedrooms on separate floors gives everyone a sense of privacy. The open-plan layout of the master bedroom with bathroom and balcony makes the villa ideal for a couple who want a little more space for themselves on holiday. From the open-plan master bedroom on the top floor, you have access to the wonderful terrace with a marvellous view of the beautiful surroundings that you will never get bored of.

Another advantage of this charming and rustic villa is its location close to the pretty little town of Artà. Another good reason to emphasise that this property really lives up to its billing in such a peaceful region. The village is only 2 kilometres away and can therefore be easily reached on foot. Its location is ideal for evenings when you want to dine in one of the many restaurants or bars in the medieval town. The beautiful beaches, the so-called Calas de Mallorca along the east coast, are within easy reach. You can choose between easily accessible but quite touristy beaches or completely secluded natural beaches that are rarely visited, such as Cala Marjal. A nearby road provides good transport links to the beaches by car. Switch things off for a bit and visit the lively coastal town of Cala Ratjada with many attractive bars along the promenade. Villa Son Frare is located almost directly on the Via Verde, a former railway line that has now been converted into a cycle/walking path. The 30 km route from Manacor to Artà is generally very flat and offers marvellous views of the surrounding countryside. Your journey will take you past sheep pastures, goats, donkeys, horses and many other animals, allowing you to savour the scents of almond, olive, orange and carob trees. After an eventful day, you can return to your pretty little Villa Son Frare with its attractive interior design and perhaps round off the evening with a nice glass of Mallorcan red wine. The cosily restored Villa Son Frare is located in a fantastic rural setting close to the small medieval town of Artà. Just 2 km away you will find shops for your daily needs, a lovely weekly market on Tuesdays as well as good cafés and restaurants. The villa is only a few minutes' drive from popular sandy beaches such as Sa Marjal or Cala Bono.
