“Der kleine Ort zeichnet sich durch seine 2 schönen Badebuchten aus. Die linke (vom Land aus gesehen) ist durch Treppen zu erreichen und landschaftlich absolut traumhaft, der Einstieg ins Wasser durch die vielen großen Steine im vorderen Bereich aber etwas mühsam.

Die andere Bucht ist schmaler und nicht ganz so spektakulär. Dafür hat man hier den schöneren Sandstrand und keinerlei Steine im Wasser. Auch ist hier eine stärkere Brandung als in der anderen Bucht.

Ansonsten gibt es im Ort ein paar wenige kleine Restaurants und Bars sowie 2 kleinere Supermärkte. Zudem noch einige teils auch größere hotelanlagen. Das beste war der kurze Weg von der Finca bis zum Strand. (5-10 Min zu Fuß oder 1 Minuten per Auto)”

“Casa Blanco Cala Carbo is in Cala St Vincenc - stunning three bays, with mix of tourists and locals, not too busy, adequate numbers of shops and a few bars (we self-catered whilst there). Has a much more exlucsive and higher end feel than either Port de Pollenca or Alcudia. Pollenca itself (not Port de Pollenca) is stunning, with incredible church, steps/walk and sunday morning market 08:30-13:30 not to be missed!”

“Gastronomie haben wir nur eine super Pizzeria ausprobiert, jegliche Lokale an der Promenade sehr teuer. Nette Strandbars, größere Supermärkte fußläufig, was fehlt sind Partymöglichkeiten. Im Umkreis nur ein Club in Alcudia, der lohnt sich aber.”

“Market day is Sunday in Pollença old town and we loved meeting the artisans selling their goods there. Beautiful leatherware, jewellery and flower stalls in the square by the church so we bought some really high quality souvenirs and gifts. By chance we were there on Palm Sunday so a traditional Mallorquin band led a procession into the church and then played for several hours after in the market Square afterwards which was amazing. We ate at The Dodo just off the main square (zero waste, health food-type cafe) which was crazily cheap for brunch with mounds of salmon on a bagel for €6. There are many lovely shops in the town which is also good for people-watching/ soaking up the atmosphere with its many alfresco cafés and restaurants. The mountains are easily accessible from the area and we hired decent carbon fibre road bikes in Puerto de Pollença to ride up into the mountains and down the coast. It's very child-friendly region with great playparks in all the town centres and on both the north and south beaches at Puerto de Pollença. It's very easy to entertain small children as a result. We also did the stunning hike out to Cala Bóquer (check out "Cami Bóquer" on Google maps for directions to the car park at start of walk). Everyone in the area seems happy to speak English so my holiday Spanish wasn't used much as they switch to English as soon as they detect your accent. It's a great area and we would definitely return.”
